Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was a Swedish DJ and music producer globally recognized. He was born on September 8, 1989 in Sweden and unfortunately passed away on April 20, 2018 in Muscat, Oman.
Avicii is primarily known for his work in the electronic music field. He gained international attention in 2011 with his single "Levels", which became a huge success worldwide. In 2013, he released his first album titled "True", which included the hit song "Wake Me Up". In 2015, he released his second album "Stories".
Throughout his career, Avicii was nominated for numerous international awards and won several American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, and World Music Awards. Despite his relatively short career, he is considered to have revolutionized electronic music.
In 2016, Avicii announced his retirement from the stage due to health issues. He had suffered from several health problems over the years, including acute pancreatitis, partly due to excessive alcohol consumption. Despite stepping back from live performances, he continued to produce music and release songs until his death in 2018.
Avicii's death was declared a suicide. His family described him as someone "seeking answers to existential questions" and "working too hard". His passing shocked the music world, and he was widely honored by artists of all musical genres.
