Andreas Mats is a Swedish artist born in 1966 and raised in Stockholm. He began his musical career playing guitar in a rock band called "The ScumBoys", before pursuing classical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of Stockholm. Subsequently, Mats played guitar with various groups and recorded solo albums. In 2001, he founded the group "The Mats Band" and released their self-titled first album in 2002, followed by two other albums in 2004 and 2006. In addition, Mats released two solo albums in 2007 and 2009. In 2011, he was named "Artist of the Year" by the Swedish magazine "Guitar Player" and in 2012, he released The Mats Band's fourth album. Andreas Mats currently resides in Stockholm with his wife and two children.
