BIOGRAPHY
Alexei Zakharov is a Russian musical artist born in 1966 in Moscow. He studied composition and orchestral conducting at the Moscow Music Institute. In 1991, he was named musical director of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Subsequently, Zakharov held the position of musical director of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra. In 2001, he was promoted to principal conductor of the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra. Zakharov has conducted numerous orchestras in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia, and has recorded several classical music albums.
