BIOGRAPHY
"Airbiscuit is a French electronic music duo from Paris, composed of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. They have released five studio albums and are known for their hits "Sexy Boy" and "Kelly Watch the Stars".
Godin and Dunckel met in the late 1980s while attending Lycée Carnot in Paris. They began making music together as Air in 1995, and released their first album Moon Safari the following year. The album was a critical and commercial success, and spawned the singles "Sexy Boy" and "Kelly Watch the Stars".
The duo released their second album, The Virgin Suicides, in 2000. The album was inspired by the novel of the same name by Jeffrey Eugenides, and included the singles "Playground Love" and "Don't Be Light".
Air's third album, Talkie Walkie, was released in 2004. The album was a commercial success, reaching the top 10 in several countries, and yielded the singles "Cherry Blossom Girl" and "Surfing on a Rocket".
The duo's fourth album, Pocket Symphony, was released in 2007. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album, and included the singles "Once Upon a Time" and "Mer du Japon".
Air's fifth album, Le Voyage Dans La Lune, was released in 2012. The album was inspired by the 1902 film of the same name, and included the singles "Do the Joy" and "Be a Bee".
Air has also composed music for films and television shows, including the soundtracks for The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, and The Darjeeling Limited."
