BIOGRAPHY
Mariano Favre is an Argentine musical artist born in Buenos Aires in 1966. He studied classical music at the National Music Conservatory of Buenos Aires, and continued his studies in France, at the University Paris VIII and at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
Favre is a versatile composer and musician, with a passion for a variety of musical genres. His works have been performed in numerous countries, including Argentina, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Japan, China, South Korea, Canada, and the United States.
Favre has won several prestigious international awards, including the Prix de Rome (1992), the Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris (1993), the Prix Dutilleux (1997), and the Prix Groupe Octobre (2000). In 2006, he was named Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Republic.
