SORE (stylized as Sore) is a French electronic music duo originating from Paris. The group consists of two musicians: Simon Carpentier and Raphaëlle Latini.
Created in 2012 by Simon Carpentier and Raphaëlle Latini, both musicians and producers, the duo formed while they were studying electronic music at university. Together, they developed a common aesthetic and musical approach.
Their music is influenced by house, techno, and experimental electronic music. It stands out for its catchy rhythms, memorable melodies, and intricate arrangements.
The group released its first album, "First Aid," in 2013, which was well received by critics and voted "Album of the Year" by the readers of the magazine "Les Inrocks."
In 2014, their second album, "Second Sight," confirmed the group's success and was once again voted "Album of the Year" by the readers of the magazine "Les Inrocks."
Sore has also released two EPs, "Third Eye" and "Fourth Wall," in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
In 2017, the group released its third album, "Stranger Things," which was praised by critics and voted "Album of the Year" by the readers of the magazine "Les Inrocks" for the third time.
In 2019, Sore released its fourth album, "Sore," which was once again acclaimed by critics and voted "Album of the Year" by the readers of the magazine "Les Inrocks."
The group also released an EP, "Sixth Sense," in 2020, and is currently on tour promoting its latest album.
