BIOGRAPHY
Snow is a Canadian musical artist, whose birth name is Darrin Kenneth O'Brien. Born on October 30, 1969 in Toronto, he became an international star with his 1993 single "Informer", which reached the top of the charts in the United States. His music is a unique blend of reggae and hip-hop, also known as reggae fusion.
Snow began his career singing in local clubs in Toronto. In 1989, he was discovered by reggae producers Sly and Robbie. They helped him sign with the American label East West Records. Snow is often compared to Vanilla Ice, another white rapper from the same era. However, Snow has always insisted that he was influenced by Jamaican reggae culture rather than American hip-hop.
After the success of "Informer", Snow continued to produce albums but never reached the same level of fame. However, he still has a loyal following, especially in Canada and Japan. In 2019, he made a notable comeback with the remix of "Informer" called "Con Calma" in collaboration with singer Daddy Yankee. This song reached the top of the charts in many countries, proving that Snow is still a relevant player in the global music scene.
