Shaed is an American indie pop trio from Washington, D.C., consisting of twin brothers Max and Spencer Ernst and lead singer Chelsea Lee. The band's name is an acronym for "Spencer, Chelsea, and the Ernst twins".
The band first gained recognition in 2016 with their single "Back to Life", which was featured in a Google Pixel commercial. The song became a hit, reaching the top 40 of the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in 2019.
Their debut EP, Melt, was released in 2018. The EP's lead single, "Trampoline", reached number one on the Alternative Songs chart, making Shaed the first unsigned artist to do so in over 20 years.
In 2019, Shaed released their debut album, High Society. The album's lead single, "No Other Way", reached number two on the Alternative Songs chart.
Shaed has been praised for their catchy pop hooks and Lee's powerful vocals. The band has been compared to other indie pop acts like Halsey and The 1975.
