Lumidee Cedeño, better known by her stage name Lumidee, is an American singer and rapper of Puerto Rican descent. She was born on October 24, 1984 in East Harlem, New York, United States. She started rapping and writing songs at the age of 12. She is best known for her single "Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)" released in 2003, which reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100, a first for a solo female artist not signed to a major label. Her unique style blends hip-hop, reggaeton, dancehall, and R&B. Lumidee has also collaborated with many artists, including Tony Sunshine, DJ Tedsmooth, N.O.R.E., Busta Rhymes, Shaggy, and Pitbull. Throughout her career, she has released several albums: "Almost Famous" in 2003, "Unexpected" in 2007, and "Luminated" in 2010.
