Little Mix is a British female music group formed in 2011 during the eighth season of the "The X Factor" in the UK. Originally, the group consisted of four members: Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall. They became known for being the first group to win the competition. Shortly after, they signed a record deal with Syco Music and released their first album, "DNA," in 2012, which reached the Top 10 in many countries and the Top 20 in the United States. Over the years, the group has released several albums that have been commercially and critically successful, and has won numerous awards, including two Brit Awards. Little Mix's songs, which incorporate elements of pop, R&B, and dance-pop, are often characterized by messages of female empowerment and self-acceptance. In December 2020, Jesy Nelson left the group for mental health reasons, but the remaining three members confirmed that they would continue to make music as a trio.
