BIOGRAPHY
LMFAO is an American electro-pop music group formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2006. It consists of Stefan Kendal Gordy a.k.a. Redfoo, and Skyler Husten Gordy, known by his stage name Sky Blu. Redfoo and Sky Blu are respectively the son and grandson of Motown founder Berry Gordy.
Their music is a mix of hip hop, electro house, and dance, often described as "party rock". They are best known for their extravagant and humorous style, their irresistible energy on stage, and their quirky lyrics.
Their biggest hits include the international chart-toppers "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It", both of which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite achieving huge success, the group decided to take a break in 2012 but continued to make music solo. Redfoo remained an iconic figure in pop culture and even joined the judging panel on the television show "The X Factor Australia".
In August 2016, LMFAO announced their official comeback as a group. However, the group has been inactive since then, leaving fans waiting for their next release.
Note: It is important to clarify that even though the two members of the group are related by blood, they are not brothers but rather uncle and nephew, a fact that is often misunderstood. Redfoo is Sky Blu's uncle.
