Freemasons

BIOGRAPHY

Freemasons is an English house music producer duo consisting of Russell Small and James Wiltshire. They began their collaboration in 2005 and quickly gained international recognition with their distinctive style of house music, which blends elements of soul, disco, and funk with modern electronic productions. Their name comes from The Freemasons pub in Brighton, where Russell Small regularly played DJ sets. The duo has achieved commercial success with remixes for renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Kylie Minogue. Their remixes of Beyoncé's "Déjà Vu" and the collaboration between Beyoncé and Shakira, "Beautiful Liar," are particularly well-received and have contributed to establishing their reputation on the international music scene. In addition to their remixes, Freemasons has released successful original singles and albums in dance music charts, including "Uninvited" with Bailey Tzuke and "Love on My Mind" with Amanda Wilson. They are known for their ability to create catchy tracks that appeal to both dance clubs and a wider audience. Their sound is characterized by danceable rhythms, powerful basslines, and captivating melodies. By playing at festivals and clubs around the world, Freemasons have solidified their place in the electronic music world.
