Demi Lovato is an American singer, actress, and songwriter born on August 20, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She began her career in Disney Channel television movies Camp Rock and Sonny with a Chance. In 2008, she signed with Hollywood Records and released her first album, Don't Forget, which reached number four on the Billboard 200. Her second album, Here We Go Again, was released in 2009 and reached number one on the Billboard 200, making it the top-selling solo album by a female artist of the year. Lovato also starred in the television movies Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and Princess Protection Program. She was appointed a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador in December 2016.
