Virtual Self is a side project by electronic music artist Porter Robinson. Launched in 2017, this project marks a departure from the musical style of his previous works. Inspired by the sounds of 90s and early 2000s video games, Virtual Self explores a more underground music aesthetic. The first single from this project, "Eon Break", was well received by critics. It was followed by the release of the EP "Virtual Self" which includes five other tracks. Virtual Self was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019 in the "Best Dance Production" category.
