Slander is an American DJ and producer duo, composed of Derek Andersen and Scott Land, that was formed at the University of California, Irvine. The group is mainly known for its unique approach to electronic music, particularly in the genres of trap and dubstep, but also for its ability to incorporate elements of heaven trap, a sub-genre they helped popularize. This style is characterized by emotional builds and melodic drops, often accompanied by airy vocals. The duo made a name for themselves on the global electronic scene with well-received remixes and energetic live performances, including at major festivals such as EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland.
