Rea Garvey is an Irish singer and musician, born on August 4, 1974, in Tralee, County Kerry. He is known for being the lead singer and guitarist of the pop-rock band Reamonn. Garvey also has a solo career and has released four studio albums, including the album "Can't Stand the Silence" which reached number one in Germany in 2011.
Garvey grew up in the town of Kilkee, County Clare. He began his musical career playing in various rock bands in the 1990s. In 1995, he joined the pop-rock band Reamonn with whom he released seven studio albums and achieved international success. In 2010, he left the band to focus on his solo career.
