Ozark Henry, whose real name is Piet Goddaer, is a Belgian singer-songwriter born on June 16, 1968 in Ostend.
Piet Goddaer began his musical career in the 1980s by playing in several rock bands. In 1991, he founded the band Ozark Henry with bassist Koen Gisen and drummer Koen Lieckens. The trio released their first album, "I'm Your Sacrifice", in 1994, which was well received by critics and the public and quickly popularized Ozark Henry in Belgium.
In 1996, the group released their second album, "The Sailor Not the Sea", which was even more successful than the first, with the singles "I'm Your Sacrifice", "Beautiful", "Into Your Arms" and "Valentine".
Ozark Henry's third album, "The Soft Fall", was released in 1999 and was a commercial success with the singles "Stay", "This One's for You" and "The Answering Machine".
In 2002, Ozark Henry took a break and Piet Goddaer began a solo career. His first solo album, "The Nightflight Orchestra", was released in 2004 with the singles "The Nightflight" and "Beautiful".
In 2006, Piet Goddaer returned to Ozark Henry and released the album "The Sailor Not the Sea" with the group, which was a commercial success with the singles "I'm Your Sacrifice", "Beautiful", "Into Your Arms" and "Valentine".
In 2009, Ozark Henry released their sixth album, which was once again a commercial success with the singles "I'm Your Sacrifice", "Beautiful", "Into Your Arms" and "Valentine".
Ozark Henry is still active and continues to release successful albums.
