Olly Alexander, born Oliver Alexander Thornton on July 15, 1990, is a British multi-talented artist mainly recognized for his singing, songwriting, and acting skills. He is the lead vocalist of the pop group Years & Years, formed in 2010. The group gained international fame with hits like "King" and "Shine", with a musical style that blends electronic pop, R&B, and house.
In addition to his musical career, Olly Alexander has also proven himself as an actor. He has appeared in various films and television series, including the cult British series "Skins" and "God Help the Girl" (2014). More recently, he has been acclaimed for his lead role in the Russell T. Davies dramatic series, "It's a Sin" (2021), which explores the lives of young gay people during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s.
