She is best known for her role as Carly Shay in the television series iCarly and for her role as Megan Parker in the television series Drake & Josh. Cosgrove began her acting career at the age of three in commercials. She later appeared in several television series before obtaining her breakthrough role in the television series Drake & Josh. In 2007, she starred in the television series iCarly, which was a commercial success and boosted her musical career. She subsequently released her first studio album, Sparkle, in 2010. Her second album, High Maintenance, was published in 2011. Her third album, Sparks Fly, was released in 2014. In 2016, she released her fourth album.
