Kelly Rowland is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress born on February 11, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the R&B group Destiny's Child.
Rowland grew up in Houston, Texas. She began her career in the 1990s as a member of the R&B group Destiny's Child. The group achieved international success with hits such as "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Say My Name", "Jumpin', Jumpin'" and "Survivor". Destiny's Child sold over 60 million albums worldwide and won numerous awards, including five Grammy Awards.
In 2002, Rowland launched her solo career with the album "Simply Deep", which reached second place on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in the US. Her second album, "Ms. Kelly", was released in 2007 and reached fifth place on the Billboard 200. Rowland has collaborated with numerous artists, including Nelly, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, and Future.
Rowland has also appeared in several films and television shows, including "Freddy vs. Jason", "The Seat Filler", "Think Like a Man", "Empire", and "American Soul". She has also been a coach on the reality TV show "The X Factor" in the US and the UK.
