Jack White, born John Anthony Gillis on July 9, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. Best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band The White Stripes, Jack White has also found success as a member of other bands such as The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. His musical style is heavily influenced by blues, rock, and folk. In addition to his career with bands, he has also had a successful solo career. Jack White is also the founder of the independent record label Third Man Records. He is known for his minimalist approach to music and his innovative use of instruments. Besides his music, White has also made an impact on the industry with his opinions on modernity and technology in music, often promoting a more traditional and craftsman-like approach.
