BIOGRAPHY
Harvey Milk is an American music artist, born on February 22, 1951 in New York, raised in the Queens. He began his musical career playing piano in New York jazz clubs. In 1970, he joined the psychedelic rock band Milkwood, with whom he recorded two albums before their separation in 1972. Harvey Milk then continued his solo career and released his self-titled first album in 1974, critically acclaimed. He went on to record two more albums, "Life" (1975) and "Death" (1976). However, in 1977, Harvey Milk was tragically assassinated by a sniper during a hold-up in a supermarket in San Francisco.
