Haddaway, real name Nestor Alexander Haddaway, is an electronic music and dance artist born in Trinidad and Tobago on January 9, 1965. He is best known for his major hit "What is Love", which was a worldwide phenomenon in the 90s. Before pursuing music, Haddaway studied political science and history at George Washington University in Washington D.C. He also worked as a choreographer and stylist before starting his music career.
His self-titled debut album "Haddaway", released in 1993, also produced hits such as "Life" and "I Miss You". After the success of his first album, Haddaway continued to release albums throughout the 90s and 2000s. However, none of them were able to achieve the level of success of his first album. Despite this, Haddaway remains a respected artist in the world of dance music.
Beyond his work in music, Haddaway used his popularity to venture into real estate investing in several properties in Europe and the United States.
