Elena Gheorghe is a Romanian pop singer, born on February 17, 1985, in Bucharest. She studied classical music in her youth at the National Music University of Bucharest. At the age of 17, she began her singing career by participating in several singing competitions. In 2006, she gained national recognition by participating in the Romanian pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She has since released several albums and singles, and has represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009. She is known for her powerful and versatile voice, as well as her energetic and engaging live performances.
