BIOGRAPHY
Cody Island is a French music group from Paris, composed of five musicians:
- Alexandre (guitar and vocals)
- Benjamin (keyboards and vocals)
- Charles (drums)
- Mathieu (bass)
- Nicolas (guitar)
The group was formed in 2009 and released their first album, "Cody Island," in 2012. Their music is a mix of rock, pop, and folk, influenced by groups such as The Beatles, The Kinks, and The Beach Boys.
They have had the opportunity to perform at the SXSW music festival in 2013 and at the Coachella festival in 2014. Cody Island has also toured in Europe and the United States with groups such as Phoenix, The Kooks, and The 1975.
In 2016, the group released their second album, "The Sun and the Moon," recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, The 1975).
Their third album, "The Sea and the Sky," was released in 2019. Recorded in Paris, the album was produced by Nicolas Verhnes (Air, Daft Punk).
