BIOGRAPHY

Armand Van Helden is an American house music producer and DJ. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970, he is considered one of the pioneers of the house genre and his influence in the world of electronic music is undeniable. Many of his productions have topped international music charts, solidifying his popularity worldwide. Van Helden began his career in the music industry in the late 1980s as a producer for the DMC label. He quickly gained recognition for his innovative remixes and original productions. In 1992, he experienced his first major breakthrough with the release of his single "Move It To the Left". Subsequent singles, such as "The Witch Doktor" and "Funk Phenomena", also enjoyed great success. Over the years, Van Helden has embraced the evolution of musical genres and maintained his popularity by constantly experimenting with new styles. Whether it be hip-hop, trip-hop, garage, breakbeat, or tech-house, he has dabbled in it all and always managed to put his own spin on things. In addition to his own albums, Van Helden has also produced and remixed tracks for numerous well-known artists such as Katy Perry, Robin S, Alice DJ, and the Rolling Stones, to name a few. Van Helden was also part of the duo Duck Sauce with Canadian DJ A-Trak, with their single "Barbra Streisand" becoming a global hit. Despite his longevity in the music industry, Van Helden has not lost his passion for music and continues to produce house tracks that move dancefloors around the world. It is this dedication that still makes him a highly respected artist after over thirty years in the industry.
