Alicia Keys is a multi-talented American artist, being a singer, composer, producer, actress, songwriter, businesswoman, and philanthropist. Born on January 25, 1981 in New York, she began her musical career playing piano at the age of four and was signed by Columbia Records at fourteen. Her debut album, "Songs in A Minor," was released in 2001 and won five Grammy Awards. Her second album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys," was released in 2003 and won four Grammy Awards. In 2007, she released her third album, "As I Am," which also won two Grammy Awards. Her fourth album, "The Element of Freedom," was released in 2009, followed by "Girl on Fire" in 2012. In addition to her musical career, Alicia Keys has also released two books: "Elements of Freedom: A Celebration of the Music of Alicia Keys" in 2010 and "Songs in A Minor" in 2011.
