Lukas Nelson is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born on December 26, 1988 in Austin, Texas. Nelson grew up in Maui, Hawaii. He began playing music at the age of seven, and formed his first band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, in 2008. The band has released four studio albums, and has opened for Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and Neil Young + Promise of the Real. Nelson has also collaborated with Lady Gaga, and appeared in the film A Star Is Born (2018).
