BIOGRAPHY
Wesley V (born as Wesley Verhoeve on September 12, 1980) is a Dutch-American musician, artist, and entrepreneur. Wesley is the founder of FiftyThree, the company behind the hit iPad app, Paper, and the creator of the #1 best-selling game, Mix. He is also the host of the acclaimed podcast, The Futur, which has been downloaded over 10 million times.
Born in the Netherlands, Wesley moved to the United States with his family at the age of five. He grew up in Connecticut and New York and received his degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002.
After his studies, Wesley worked as a designer and creative director in New York. In 2008, he co-founded FiftyThree with Georg Petschnigg and Andrew S. Wright. The company's first product was Paper, an iPad app that allows users to create and share beautiful sketches, diagrams, and notes. Paper has been downloaded over 10 million times and was named "App of the Year" by Apple in 2012.
In 2014, Wesley and his team at FiftyThree released Mix, a free app for iPhone and iPad that allows users to create and share short looping videos. Mix quickly became a hit, reaching the top spot on the App Store in over 100 countries.
In addition to his work at FiftyThree, Wesley hosts The Futur, a popular podcast on design, technology, and business. The show has been downloaded over 10 million times and has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, and Forbes.
Wesley resides in New York with his wife and their two sons.
