Imanbek Dieter Bohlen is a German music artist. He was born on March 5, 1954 in Berne, Germany. Bohlen began his career as a producer and composer of popular German music in the 1980s. In 1986, he founded the group Modern Talking with Thomas Anders. The group had great success in Germany and Europe. In 1998, Bohlen left Modern Talking and started a solo career. In 2003, he founded the group Blue System. Bohlen has also been a judge on several television shows, including Deutschland sucht den Superstar (2002-2010) and Das Supertalent (2011-2012).
