Tim Berg, better known by his stage name Avicii, was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer, and record producer. Born on September 8, 1989, he made a name for himself in the music industry with a series of international successes. Avicii is recognized for popularizing electronic music genre in Europe and around the world.
Starting his career in 2006, Avicii quickly became one of the most popular and respected DJs in the music scene. In 2011, his single 'Levels' became a huge hit, bringing him worldwide fame. Another one of his well-known tracks, 'Wake Me Up', was the most streamed single on Spotify in 2013.
In addition to his music, Avicii was praised for his charitable work, creating the Tim Bergling Foundation in 2011. This foundation aims to raise awareness for mental health issues and prevent suicide, something that Avicii personally struggled with.
However, despite his incredible success, Avicii battled health problems and the constant pressure of being in the spotlight. In 2016, he announced his retirement from live performances due to ongoing health issues. He tragically passed away at the age of 28 on April 20, 2018.
