Leona Louise Lewis, born April 3, 1985, is a British singer, songwriter, and actress. She signed with Syco Music, Simon Cowell's label, after winning the third season of The X Factor in 2006. Her debut album, "Spirit", was released in 2007 and sold over eight million copies worldwide, achieving seven times platinum certification in the UK. Lewis has won several prestigious awards, including three Grammy Awards, two World Music Awards, two Brit Awards, and one Ivor Novello Award. She was named "Artist of the Year" by Billboard in 2008 and ranked fourth on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music in 2012. In 2014, she was named "Female Artist of the Year" by Glamour. In 2016, she was ranked fourth on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music and in 2017, she was ranked seventieth on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
