Lane 8 is a house and deep house music producer and DJ based in San Francisco, California. He is known for his atmospheric and melodic tracks, as well as remixes of notable artists such as Above & Beyond, Seven Lions, and Tove Lo. Baker began his musical career playing guitar and composing folk and rock songs, before turning to electronic production after discovering Daft Punk's music in 2001. In 2008, he released his first single, "The Great Divide", under the name Patrick Baker. He later signed with the label Anjunadeep and released his first album, "Days Gone By", in 2014. In 2016, his second album, "Little by Little", reached number one on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Baker also founded the label This Never Happened, focusing on promoting live DJ sets and the clubbing experience. In 2019, he released his third album, "Brightest Lights".
