"Laidback Luke, also known as Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen, is a Dutch DJ, music producer, singer, and entrepreneur. He is considered one of the pioneers of the electro house movement. Luke began his career playing in clubs in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He was later discovered by Tiësto's label, Black Hole Recordings, and released his first production in 2002. In 2006, he founded his own label, Mixmash Records. Luke is known for his energetic performances and original mashups. He has collaborated with numerous artists, including Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, and Snoop Dogg. In 2012, he was ranked 16th in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs."
