James Bay is a British singer and songwriter, born on October 4, 1990 in Hitchin, England. He signed with Republic Records in 2013 and released his first album, Chaos and the Calm, in 2015. The album reached number one in the UK and was certified platinum. He won the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards in 2016. In 2019, he released his second album, Electric Light.
