Green Velvet, whose real name is Curtis Alan Jones, is an American DJ and house music producer from Chicago, Illinois. He began his career in 1987 playing in Chicago clubs such as Medusa's and Smart Bar. In 1991, he released his first single, "Flash", under the name Cajmere. In 1995, he released his first album, "The Vault", under the name Green Velvet. Since then, he has released several successful albums and singles such as "La La Land", "Bigger Than Prince" and "Shake and Pop". Green Velvet is also known for his collaborations with renowned DJs and producers such as Calvin Harris, Skream and Steve Aoki. In 2016, he released his first solo album, "Step into the Light".
