Gareth Emery is an English trance DJ and music producer, born on August 18, 1980, in Southampton, England. He began his musical career playing piano and guitar in various rock bands. In 2003, he released his first solo album, "Northern Lights." Since then, he has published six more studio albums and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Emery is also known for his remixes, played by DJs such as Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. In 2012, Emery founded the label Garuda, which has released several of his own tracks as well as those of other artists.
