Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian musical artist known for his versatile style, blending rap, R&B, and pop. Prior to his musical career, Drake was an actor in the television series "Degrassi: The Next Generation."
He launched his musical career in 2006 with the release of his first mixtape "Room for Improvement." He gained popularity with subsequent mixtapes, including "So Far Gone" in 2009, featuring the hit single "Best I Ever Had." His debut studio album "Thank Me Later," released in 2010, entered straight at No.1 on the US Billboard 200.
Drake is recognized for his significant influence in modern music, having introduced an emotional and introspective style in rap. He has explored and popularized singing in his raps, impacting the development of sub-genres in hip-hop.
