BIOGRAPHY
Donald Wilborn is an American musical artist born on June 18, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood and began his musical career playing the trombone in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Following this, he studied music at the University of Chicago, where he graduated in 1974. After his studies, Wilborn embarked on teaching music in various schools and universities. He later joined the Chicago Jazz Ensemble as a trombonist and played with them for several years. He also collaborated with numerous other jazz ensembles such as the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Furthermore, Wilborn has recorded several jazz albums, including "The Chicago Jazz Ensemble Plays Duke Ellington" and "The Chicago Jazz Ensemble Plays The Music of Miles Davis".
