Dezza, real name Derek Silvester, is an electronic music producer and DJ based in Canada. His musical style is primarily focused on progressive house and deep house, with touches of trance. His passion for music began early, as from childhood, Dezza was surrounded by music thanks to his father who was also a musician. Throughout his career, Dezza has produced several remixes for artists such as Markus Schulz, Tritonal, and Armin van Buuren. He has also released many singles and EPs on renowned labels such as Spinnin' Records, Anjunabeats, and Enhanced Music. His productions are regularly supported by the biggest DJs in the electronic scene such as Above & Beyond, Tiesto, and Armin van Buuren, which has allowed Dezza to establish himself on the international stage. In 2019, he released his debut album "Cosmos". That same year, he was nominated in the category of "Best New Talent" at the International Dance Music Awards. In addition to his solo career, Dezza is also a member of the duo Half of Me with Matt Fax, another Canadian producer. Despite his success, Dezza remains a musician very attached to his hometown of Halifax and strives to support the local music scene. Through his music, he aims to inspire others and share the love he has for electronic music.
