BIOGRAPHY
Calum Scott is a British singer born on October 12, 1988, in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire. He gained fame by participating in the ninth season of the British reality TV show Britain's Got Talent, where he finished sixth. Scott signed with Capitol Records in 2015 and released his first single, "Dancing on My Own," in 2016. His first album, Only Human, was released in 2018 and topped the UK charts. Scott also released a cover album, Cover Sessions, Vol. 1, in 2017.
Born in Kingston upon Hull, Scott studied at Hymers College. He began his musical career playing drums in a rock band called Departure. In 2010, he joined the pop-rock band Dirty White Boys as a singer and guitarist. He left the group in 2012 to focus on his solo career. In 2015, he participated in the ninth season of Britain's Got Talent. Although he was eliminated during the semi-finals, he was invited to the finale as a wildcard. He finished sixth in the final.
In 2016, Scott released his first single, "Dancing on My Own," a cover of the song by Swedish singer Robyn. The single reached number two on the UK charts and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Scott released his second single, "Rhythm Inside," the same year. In 2017, he released his first cover album, Cover Sessions, Vol. 1, which reached number nine on the UK charts. His first studio album, Only Human, was released in 2018 and topped the UK charts, before being certified gold by the BPI. In 2019, Scott released his third single, "You Are the Reason."
