BIOGRAPHY
"Black Motif is a French musical artist from Paris, born in 1981, who was raised on music by his family of musicians. He began his career playing guitar in Parisian jazz clubs. In 2000, he founded the Black Motif Trio, composed of bassist Frédéric Gros and drummer Nicolas Larmignat. The trio released two albums, "Black Motif" (2001) and "Live at the Blue Note" (2002). Black Motif has also collaborated with numerous renowned artists such as pianist Brad Mehldau, saxophonist Joshua Redman, and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. In 2006, he launched his solo career with the album "Paris Blue", followed by "New York Blue" (2008) and "Tokyo Blue" (2010). Black Motif currently resides in New York."
