BIOGRAPHY
Anouk is a Dutch singer born on April 8, 1975, in Den Haag. She started her musical career in 1993 and released her first album in 1997. She achieved commercial success with her second album, "Graduated Fool" (2000), which reached number one on the Dutch charts. Her following album, "Lost Tracks" (2002), featured unreleased songs and covers. Her fourth album, "Hotel New York" (2004), topped the charts in the Netherlands and Belgium, and was certified double platinum in France. Her fifth album, "Who's Your Momma" (2007), was certified platinum in the Netherlands. Her sixth album, "For Bitter or Worse" (2009), also topped the charts in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2012, she represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Birds", finishing 9th out of 18 participants. In 2013, she released her eighth album, "Sad Singalong Songs".
Anouk has sold over two million albums worldwide. She was nominated for "Best Female Artist" at the Edison Awards in 2001, 2004, 2005, and 2007, winning the award in 2007. She also won the "World Music Award for World’s Best Selling Dutch Artist" in 2006.
