Alan Walker is a British-Norwegian producer and DJ who rose to fame in 2015 with his single "Faded". Walker was born in Northampton, England, in 1997, but moved to Norway at the age of two with his Norwegian parents. He began creating music on his computer in 2012, and with the help of producer DJ Walkzz, he eventually released his first song, "Fade", which went viral.
In 2016, he released a revised version of the song called "Faded", which was a hit in many countries and became one of the most streamed songs in the world. Walker's other hits include "Sing Me to Sleep", "Darkside", and "Alone", all released between 2016 and 2019.
Due to his extreme shyness and preference for anonymity, Walker is often seen wearing a hoodie and mask during his live performances to maintain his privacy. Alongside focusing on his music career, he also has a keen interest in politics and computer science.
He has won numerous awards throughout his career, including the Hit of the Year award for "Faded" at the Spellemannsprisen (the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Awards) in 2016. His music is often described as falling into the electro-house genre, but also incorporates other genres such as dubstep and trap.
Although he is still very young, Alan Walker has already made a name for himself in the global music industry, continuing to captivate audiences with his mesmerizing electronic songs.
