Passionfruit, also known as Stephanie Caroline Mbanga, is a British singer, songwriter, and music producer born on March 21, 1977, in London. She grew up in the Hackney neighborhood in East London. Passionfruit began her career in London's jazz and soul clubs before turning to pop music in 2005. Her first album, "The Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song," was released in 2006. In 2007, her second album, "The Promise," was a commercial success, reaching fifth place in the UK charts. Passionfruit has also worked as a producer for various artists such as Lily Allen, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, and Robbie Williams.
