Charly Lownoise, born as Ramon Roelofs, is a Dutch DJ and electronic music producer, mainly known for his work in the happy hardcore genre during the 1990s. He formed the famous duo Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo with Theo Nabuurs. Together, they produced several major hits, such as "Wonderful Days", "Stars", and "Live at London". These tracks marked the European charts and became symbolic of the rave scene of the time. The duo's musical style is characterized by fast beats, happy melodies, and often euphoric vocal samples, contributing to the emergence of happy hardcore as a distinct sub-genre of electronic music.
