CeCe Peniston is an American singer of R&B and house music, who rose to fame in the 1990s. She was born on September 6, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio. Her career took off when she signed with the music label A&M in the 1990s and quickly gained popularity with her single "Finally".
Peniston achieved success not only in the American dance charts, but also reached the top 10 in many charts overseas. With the single "Finally", she was nominated for several awards at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) and won in 1992.
