He grew up in the North St. Louis neighborhood and began his musical career in 1984 by collaborating with his older brother, B.G. Knocc Out. In 1986, they released their first single "Eazy-E's Boyz-n-the-Hood". They then signed with Ruthless Records, Eazy-E's label.
