BIOGRAPHY
Tracy Chapman is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for her folk and folk-rock music. She began her career in the 1980s and achieved commercial success with her self-titled album released in 1988, which was certified diamond in the United States. Since then, Chapman has produced seven studio albums, including her latest, "Our Bright Future," released in 2008. Her most well-known songs include "Fast Car," "Baby Can I Hold You," "Give Me One Reason," "Talkin' 'bout a Revolution," and "Telling Stories."
Chapman has been nominated for ten Grammy Awards and has won four. She was also awarded the Polar Music Prize in 2005.
