Princess Erika, born Erika Dobong'na, is a French artist born on April 5, 1964 in Paris. She is a singer, composer, and actress. Of Cameroonian origin, her musical style is characterized by a mix of reggae, rap, and R&B, enriched by African influences.
Her career began in the 1980s with the group Princess and the DJ Boys, but it was as a solo artist that she managed to make a name for herself with titles like "Trop de bla-bla" or "Faut qu'j'travaille". Her title "Faut qu'j'travaille" particularly marked people with a catchy chorus and a strong social theme, criticizing prejudices related to unemployment.
